Great looking truck!
So, is that the 3 speed C6 automatic? Still going strong, and you guys have probably not even bothered to change the fluid, right? My Dad had a 1977 Mercury with the 460 and C6 - I couldn't hurt that transmission, and I tried!!
Speaking of power steering... I have a 1987 F350 dump truck (it is in my sig picture) - great power steering. I can literally use one pinky finger to steer with.
Then I have my 2008 F250 with all the towing options. It has "power assist" steering, that gives me "road feel". It sucks! I don't WANT to "feel" the road in a truck! I just want the wheels to turn without me having to get a workout using the steering wheel. I have even explored getting an old junkyard power steering unit installed - but it is not quite that bad. Why do vehicle engineers think Super Duty trucks need "road feel" like a sports car?
