I love the OLD cars.... lots of Fun.
todays fuel injection,, super light engine parts.. tires that have grip.
computer controlled everything for the engine to get max horsepower .. regardless of weather or altitude ....
you change jets in 2 carburetors 5 times in 1 day...
Fight with limited traction on a hot day. change rear shocks 3 times in 1 day.
play with distributor timing .. every run.
and yes, I drove my drag car on the streets.. 65 Impala SS 409... the only thing that was STOCK was the limited sheet metal.
maybe some of you OLD guys remember.. what the term "the hammer" IS.
in 1971 install a reworked 427... 500 ci....
