Your miss-spelling of roof intrigued me , I thought that you owned a ROOD !Forty five years ago while sailing in the far southern Bahamas we were told to visit Long Island as It had the oldest ROOD in the new world . We had no idea what a ROOD was , so we sailed three days to see ! It was a suspended cross !
