There are shower valves, if it would help, that the outlet for hose turns 90°, sideways not vertical (like a deck mount diverter faucet). Used a lot on exterior showers. Some shower valves the outlet for the shower hose is a threaded elbow. threaded, Well looked for a link but all I found look like fixed 90 outlet or part of the valve.
Dura faucet.
My Phoenix shower valve has threaded outlet, but I dont see they sell 90 elbow, or a shower valve with 90 outlet.
