We had our manual one replaced with an electric A &E/ Dometic on our DP about 5 years ago. Cost us $1100 at Al's RV in Phoenix.
The only thing, like someone else mentioned, is the arms are in a different spot. When they removed the old one, there were brackets left from the old one. We chose to leave them there rather than have them removed and body work done.
For us, it was no big deal. Actually it was kind of nice. It had some type of spring jaw and we used it to hold the dog's leash when we were outside.
When we sold it, the new owners didn't mind it either.
