I mounted the P3 on the center, lower dash panel, just above the tranny hump. To remove this panel, firmly pull on the left and right sides at the same time and it pops out. I slipped the P3's pigtail between the tranny hump and the lower dash panel. From here the pigtail has a clean, unobstructed path to the main dash brake controller connector.
FWIW, it didn't matter where I tried to locate the P3 on the driver's side lower dash panel, it was always hitting my knee, plus I couldn't see it very well. IMO, this lower, center dash location is a much better location (assuming you don't have a center console).
