Replace OEM Ram Brake Controller w/Aftermarket BC??

After reading your post I am alittle nervous. I just installed a Tekonsha’s Prodigy P2 controller on my SUV to tow my trailer and am leaving tomorrow where there is 1 steep hill to go over. I will double check my brakes in the morning or I will not leave. Setting on 6 locked my trailer brakes so after adjusting and stepping on my SUV brake , it seems to be ok on 3.7 but I will check the brake again in the morning using the brake controller only. Wish me luck!
