Ron, I've actually hit the manual bar while going down mountains on the interstate and I can feel the trailer holding back the truck..BUT, haven't slammed on the brakes or took "the bar" to where it would be max brake application.
I don't want to add after market either, but will do some circuit voltage/amp checks and also play with controller while towing..
Will keep everyone posted.

I have a chrysler guy looking into this. Will let everyone know if there is a fix.
