I had two Tekonsha Prodigies in my Ford E350 and Excursion and they worked great. Last year I bought a 2015 Ram 2500 with the integral trailer brake controller and it works great. Since I pull two different trailers with it, I like the ability to store a different trailer in each of four different profiles and then just select the profile. I had to make some adjustments to the gain and the trailer weight but once it was set it works fine. I can work the manual lever at slow speed and the trailer will stop the entire rig smoothly. I've been extremely happy with the one in my Ram and wouldn't even consider adding an aftermarket unit.
