Ultimately, each person has to subjectively decide whether their rig brakes safely--regardless what the voltage/current readings indicate.
It sounds to me like your rig is braking more than satisfactorily. Still, I'll be curious to hear how much voltage your Ram OEM IBC is producing with maximum gain. If you're getting this kind of braking action with only 7-8v, no doubt you have some phenomenally efficient brakes on your rig. If, on the other hand, your Ram OEM IBC is producing 12v, that brings up my hundred dollar question: why you and not me--lol!!
