My works great as far as I can tell. I haven't tried to lock the tires but it stops mine fine with the gain roughly in the middle.

To the guys who are having issues. What voltage test are you looking for? Gain at max with the manual bar slid over, truck parked? If that's what you need I might can do that tonight and report back
Will the controller produce any voltage if it doesn't sense a trailer hooked up?
