gray water sounds harmless. .. but its not... and it being New to YOU... you do not know what is in the gray tank.... OLD food/grease/chemicals.. and Time/Age will cook into something very bad...
and the Black tank can be outright dangerous.. and handle it accordingly.
I do use the bucket carry when I know the tanks are LOW but Not empty. and 50 pounds is No big deal to me. even at 64....
and FYI.. some camper/RV stores offer dumping, for a fee ($10.00) ASK first.
as for your valves.. I am OLD school.. fix it correctly.. the twist-on is a short time fix.. at best.
