It looks like you have an "under frame" tongue on your trailer. that will affect your ground clearance a lot. That and towing with a lower riding SUV than a Pickup truck.
My 2007 Surveyor sits 8" lower than many Travel trailers, when we had our 2006 Silverado our hitch head mount had to be turn down like yours even with the 4-point Equalizer hitch. Slopes, speed bumps, and uneven campsites were a "BEAR". Our 2010 Silverado sits 4 inches higher than the '06 and totally changed my setup.
