For unhitching on a slope, I find this to be the easiest way to unhitch.
Once you back in your trailer, chock the trailer wheels. Then place TV in drive while holding the brake. Place TV in park. Once in park, release the brake pedal slowly. TV should move forward a couple inches. That should release any bind on the hitch ball. You can now raise the trailer has high as needed to remove the bars easily and then lower back to a comfortable height to release the hitch ball from the tongue. I hope this helps.
