Replacement of fabric on sofa in 2011 Denali RE

Trying to locate a source for ordering additional fabric to match the fabric on a sofaIt is a 2011 Denali RE and the interior color of the trailer is described as "Zeller Moss". I have been told that the sofa was manufactured by Seating Technologies, a division of Lippert Components. So far, they have not been of assistance. Any ideas? Thanks for the responses on "replacing sofa". I am still planning to do it but I need some more of the fabric to go on the new reclining loveseat since that fabric is used in other areas of the trailer. Thanks, Barbara
  • I found out that Seating Technologies, a division of Lippert Industries, manufactured the sofa for our trailer. I spoke to someone about replacing our original fabric and was told it had been discontinued but they did tell me what fabric it was replaced with. They were very helpful. They might manufacture furniture, etc., for other brands than Dutchmen. Their number is 574-312-6253/
  • I wouldn't repalce cusion fabric with stock material - mine isn't 2 years old and is already thinning and coming apart at the seams - which was fixed once while under warranty. The fixdidn't last long. take it to a upholstery business like tackhammer says. I may PM him to see if they ship...
  • I hear and read all the complaints about them, It’s been a long time, but I never had a problem with them… when I needed information I felt they were accommodating and helpful each time transferring me to someone who could answered all my questions adequately and fully…

But I wasn’t demanding anything, calling with an attitude or accusing them of anything, or talking as an adversary…
  • Never known of any SOLUTIONS that every came from Lippert Indus. Hard people to deal with.
  • It seems the RV fabrics come often in limited quantities of leftovers, out of production stock, special ordered (ordered by someone else but never delivered)... it is not completely unheard of that a fabric would change during a model year, and I have seen the same print fabric on different brands of RV’s 2 or 3 model years apart…

Lippert Components Inc. announced on Nov. 12, 2012 that it is realigning its furniture and seating divisions into a rebranded Lippert Interior Solutions… consolidating the different units and moving them into a different larger facility…

Maybe check with Flair RV interiors for their overstock or discontinued warehouse inventory on-line…

  • Owning a upholstery business we recover and repair RV's regularly. We have found that even on newer RV's sometimes it is next to impossible to match fabric. In this case a coordinating fabric works well. You can do the cornice boards around the windows and other trim to blend the new fabric in. Most always these changes are not noticeable to anyone but you.
  • Forget getting something the same and begin to look for something that will go with what you have. A print, plaid or whatever. The chance of finding something that was used in 2011 is almost nonexistent.
  • If you can't get a match from the mfgr. And my guess is that it's gonna be tough, as these fabrics, like paints, and other things, are made in "lots", so there will be slight differences between one batch and another.

I'd recommend going for a solid or plaid that will compliment the fabrics you have, but not exactly match them. If you have a plaid fabric now, go for a solid that matches one of the colors....if it's a solid, go with a plaid that has some of that color in it.
It should be a lot easier, and cheaper to go that route.

    Good luck:)
