Replacement tires 20 inch

Many good opinions on different tires. I conclude that Hankook is probably about the best. Also more expensive then most. Michelin is getting very mixed reviews. Goodyear, nothing bad but not many opinions. Nitto has very good reviews. Don't think I read very many reviews on BF Goodrich.
Im driving 120 miles to Amarillo today to the Ford dealer to get what I thought would be Goodyear Wrangles. However: the Goodrich are what they brought over from the warehouse. I said OK as I was getting really tired of trying to decide. I've heard good review on Goodrich. I'll let you know later on. Thanks for helping me with my decisions.

I've got 18,000 on my ATM RF10s. The majority of those miles are towing either an 11,000lb fifth wheel or a 10,000lb boat.

Just checked and three tires have 11/32" of tread and one has 12/32".

I've been very happy with the tires. They don't take much weight to balance,and have had excellent traction on and off-road.

I,M on my 3rd set of Toyo 285/55/20,s AT,VERY QUIET TIRE,good in ice and snow,my 1st 2 sets i got aapprox 25000 miles with 25/30 % tread left, this last set is wearing the best with 20000 miles and 75 % tread left.I tow fairly heavy ,i think that has shortened the wear cycle as well as the speed you tow and a lot of mountainous travel .

Having come from a distribution career, who closely worked with manufacturers, I can tell you that manufacturers will and do make changes to products all the time. They do this for cost cutting, and other things like an ingredient they used in their product is no longer cost effective or available.

And of course, they always do this without notifying their distributors or end users. I don't know if Michelin has made changes or not,but there is evidence here they don't last as long as they did before. JMHO.

My Michelins were about worn out at 26,000 miles also. I refused to replace them at that mileage so they are still on the truck. I think by next winter there should be enough of the steel belts exposed that they may even work for one more winter. I plan on going to Nitto Dura Grappler or Nitto Crosstek HD.

The Michelins LTX 2 are a 60k mile rated tire. I've read that Michelin will pro rate these tire and apply a discount towards another set of Michelins so maybe an option to consider.

I'm in the same boat as you since I'm at 21k miles on my 20" Michelins and I'm starting to look for my next set of tires also. I'm also looking at the Wrangler AT/S E rated tires myself and they should be equivalent to the Michelins, but I'm on the fence with several brands at the moment.

I am looking at the Nitto Crosstek (non HD) for my Silverado 1500.
