My 5'er came with a Winegard Batwing that I never use. It hasn't even been connected since I set up DirecTV Whole Home years ago. I used the coax from the front TV to the a/v area in the left rear of my 5'er to get a DirecTV signal to the front TV.
Since I wasn't even using this antenna and the fact that it leaked through it a time or two I was fed up with it. It was only raised twice a year for roof cleaning and it finally got to the point it didn't want to raise. So.....
When I had my rubber roof replaced last week I had this antenna removed and replaced with a Winegard RoadStar. I know it might not pick up as well as the old batwing, but I really don't care since I don't use it anyway. I just felt that there should be a broadcast TV antenna up there for another owner at some point in the future.
