Most new diesels have a def tank that you have to fill every so often. A significant percentage of diesel owners don't appreciate the epa's regulating and remove the need for def. Either way it isn't a big expense. If you haven't driven or owned a newer diesel, don't judge them by the diesels you rode in 20yrs ago.
