You are absolutely correct.....diesels can pull twice the weight of a gas motor. Absolutely no question.
This whole research thing occurred because I was bored on a trip and have been thinking about a diesel purchase. I was extermely surprised that there would be almost no advantage for me or other in my weight class....so, I thought I would share the info...
Certainly, I am not knocking diesels....it I was pulling really heavy, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
