Dang, you should have loved those 9000's, and I agree I got front and rear and my front are at 5 and rear at 9 all the time, even unloaded and I am OK, but I don't drive the truck that far.
First thing I did when I got my 9000's was to take apart the adjustment dial and squirt marine grease in the hole and then put them back together, after a year of driving on the sandy beach the dial still works OK.
From the yellow Napa fleet shocks that were on it before the difference for me was night and day, no more porpoising even with the bad ruts down to the beach, crossing over the ruts before would send me into the ceiling of the truck but that is now gone.
I guess we all have our Rancho issues, I threw away my boxes not knowing I needed the UPC in order to get the rebate so I paid full price for mine :(
