Thanks mbloof!
I like LesSchwab. Good people. Good price I bet too! Our local store only carried the Toyo's at the time I bought my Nitto tires. If they could have matched what America's Tire Store quoted me, I would have gone with the Toyo's from LesSchwab.
My experience with the taller tires I had originally was that I could run up hills in 5th (manual gear box) and maintain speed, while improving mpg on freeway cruising across the flats. My Dodge diesel really burns fuel past 2K rpm. I can keep it at or under that with the 33's and at 18Krpm with the 35's. Great for hauling across Nevada when I head up to Idaho, or on I-5 across the central valley of California. When I hit the mountains, I drop into 5th and just keep my same speed with a 3mpg drop in fuel economy. That is with the camper load. 18mpg on the flats, 15mpg in the hills. That's with 35's. With the 33's, I dropped 1.5mpg across the board; flats and hills.
Still not too shabby; 16.5mpg on the flats and 13.5mpg on the hills with the Nitto 33" tires I have on now.
