You may want to look at the wheel width requirement for the tire you want. I think the 246 tires want a wider wheel than the Visions wheels (7.5" wide).
My tires never wandered. They did sing a bit, but either I got used to it, or they stopped. My wife said she did not hear them sing. I do not know how many miles are on them, as my speedo was not functioning or off for a couple of years. I do know I bought them in 10/06, and will age out before they wear out. I do not plan to replace them based on the age thing. As for wear, Bigfootford has watched my tire wear for years, and could comment on it.
I could have gone cheaper, but do not know if any better. If and when they are replaced it will be with the same tire or its equivalent. I see no reason to change.
