We are currently helping Cummins and PACCAR testing two diesel/electric hybrid class 6 truck with Frito-Lay. A small ISB4.5L diesel pushing a 175kw electric motor. They are using it to shuttle between their San Antonio, TX and Columbus, IN location which is about 1,150 miles. So far, it consumes 65% less fuel than the conventional PACCAR PX-7 (which is basically a Cummins 6.7L) that is normally in the truck.
