I get your concerns. But you will never have to hunt for stations. The cars software knows where they all are. You’ll never have to hunt for compatible chargers as they are all compatible with an ETron. (We’ll accept for Tesla Superchargers but they won’t show up on the software anyway). You’ll have no problems taking the ETron Wilbur.
I've looked at maps of charging locations in BC and I disagree. We have been planing a road trip that would take us up the full length of Vancouver Island, the ferry to Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii returning via Prince George and Whistler. As it stands there is no way I would take an EV on that trip. Once you get off major routes, the pickings become pretty slim.
My point is, Tesla, Rivan chargers and who knows who else in future, won't be available. That is no way to promote EV's.
I don’t know the island very well although it looks like it would be fine on the map. Certainly Prince Rupert to Prince George is easy. But as you say, sounds like you are planning other side trips so good on you for doing your research. We are making a trip up to Rupert in July this year in the Tesla. We are not anticipating any problems. BUT WE ARE DEFINITELY BRINGING A SPARE. :). I know that highway well.
Cheers.
