- westendExplorerThis month? 14" RV vent lid, vent fascia, Samsung Galaxy 8 phone (run over), adult Red Fox. The last decided to occupy the same space as my Oldsmobile 98, at night.
Around here, between two recreational lakes, life preserver and minnow bucket season has ended. - danimal53Explorerdriving east on I90 through Indiana a couple years back, traffic was awful for seemingly no reason. Must be an accident somewhere ahead we figured, but no emergency lights or anything to be seen. Finally, we come to a mattress blocking the center lane, and box spring in the right lane. So traffic reduces to 1 lane because He-Man and his pal thought they could each one-arm a mattress on his roof.
- LVJJJExplorerwhen we lived in Las Vegas ('03-'06) we saw lots of couches and big stuffed chairs all over the interstates, and other furniture. House got too full, had to throw some back.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIPersonally, if I was hauling something like a ladder in the back of my truck I can't believe that I would not see , or possibly hear, it leave the back of the truck.
Smaller Items I can get but, something as big as a ladder you think that a person would notice that. - CavemanCharlieExplorer IIII live in farm country. I once found a Big Round Bale of Hay in the road. For those of you that don't know they are about 6-7 feet high, and weigh about 1000 pounds.
That is one of only 3 times in my life that I have dialed 911 and called the police. They said that someone else had already called. It was not far from home so I watched as the police showed up, went to talk to the nearest farmer, and then got him to use his tractor to shove it off to the side of the road. I'm sure it was not his. It just fell off of a truck. They ship these big bales all around the country. - Bucky_BadgerExplorerI can't count the number of "cooler" lids I've had to swerve around
- Tyler0215ExplorerNot exactly road debris but I saw a Jeep being pulled behind a pickup using a tow bar come unhooked and roll into the ditch and on into a corn field. The pickup never slowed down. I tried to pass him and flag him down but he just kept going faster. I wonder how far he went before he discovered the Jeep was gone.

somebody top this one!
Came over a ridge on a 5 lane highway in So Cal and saw a Jet Ski immediately in front of me sitting in my lane. It had slid off the trailer carrying it and they pulled over and stopped. Young girl was running out in traffic trying to get herself killed so no one would hit her Jet Ski. I was able to stop in time and no one got hurt.

Road debris I have seen: Sofa cushions, chairs, ladders, mattresses, household appliances.
I once saw an entire loveseat in the middle of the fast lane, talk about taking evasive action.
