- miltvillExplorer III installed a pair on my DB's 2000 Chevy 1500 and on my 2008 Chevy 2500HD in 2010. They raised the 2500HD 1" in the rear and 1 1/2" on the 1500. On the 2500HD I noticed a small improvement in the ride. Both trucks were 2 wheel drive. I did not drive the 1500 but my DB is very happy with the suspension. Very easy to install. The Chevy 1500 now has 265K miles.
- MitchF150Explorer IIII've looked at them over the years... Just never thought how they actually work for the $$ they want for them??
I only have a puny 1/2 ton, but decided on these for my "overload" springs..
Hellwig "2500" overload springs...
For me, this just works best...
Mitch - ticki2ExplorerI am not seeing deceptive advertising but you are entitled to your opinion . I was hoping to find someone who had experience with the product . Roadmaster is a reputable company .
- Bert_the_WelderExplorer IINever seen them before. Went to their site and they've been dishonest right off the bat with their language.
"Proven to strengthen leaf springs..." A leaf spring is what it is. Heat treatment and material selection is what effects a leaf spring's strength.
Anything added effects its performance, not strength.
Deceptive wording is a pet peeve.... :)
