You might want to frame an inner false wall to hide the receptacles and wiring. The romex is just fine. The wire nuts is on the 12VDC cables only...
You may have to remove the wiring and replace with longer cables to get them to dress around the inner wall...
If that is not possible using those RV type receptacles you may want to also put in a false bottom in this area as well. Shouldn't be that hard to hide all of the wiring and make a nice enclosed storage area...
I for one would not like to have those wires visible if I was going to make this a storage area...
