If you stop for lunch can you use this unit without opening slides?

That's an awesome model. When it first came out it seemed THE PERFECT floorplan, but then lots of folks starting looking at things that would be deal breakers for them and the access was at the top of the list. Agree that it's a quick job to open one slide and that may work for you. We generally make lunch a real break and eat at something where it's served in a box, so our road stops would be bathroom breaks and to just pull off the road and have to open a slide for access would not work.
One other consideration was that you lose a good bit of your patio/outside area with the second slide on the curb side. May be a problem for you, maybe not. It would for us.
Opinion is that you really need to consider how you travel and how you camp. Neither of these may make any difference in your case and for sure, it's a great looking, roomy hybrid. Suggest you try to find one on a lot and actually go through the motions as if you owned it and see for sure. Spend some time without the salesman if possible. They love to steer you away from anything you might not consider a positive. Also, if you have kiddos, this visit you may want to bring them - as opposed to my usual suggestion of dropping them at grandmas - so you can get a feel for how it works with all of you there.
