Wondering exactly what I gotta have for our 2014 Roo 23IKSS

Regarding the RV 120VAC VOLTMETER. I like this one as it has the SAFE ZONE printed in "GREEN". Got mine from AMAZON

I will not turn on my Air COnditioner if the input 120VAC voltage is not inside the GREEN ZONE...



This PLUG-IN VOLTAGE meter is great at camp grounds when plugged-in to the camp ground pedestal.

For me however it is really nice to have when I am plugged-in to my garage at home using my RV30A-15A ADAPTER. Poor connections will cause bad reading on the voltmeter.


My other MUST HAVE ITEM is a NOAH WX ALERT RADIO. I got mine from RADIO SHACK which required 6V battery setup and included transformer. I got one of those multiple DC output cords that plugs into a 12VDC receptacle in the trailer and use that to power up my WX ALERT RADIO all the the time. It is on 24/7 when I am in my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer.

Definitely get the Bal X-Chocks. They are awesome!

A good sewer hose was already mentioned. I can attest to that. Inspect your hose before using it to make sure there are not cracks or punctures in it.

Popup Gizmos was mentioned to. THESE ARE A MUST!!! It is amazing how cool our trailer stays even in the middle of the sun because of the Gizmos.

Water hose, with pressure regulator to protect your internal plumbing from pressure spikes. I also got a "L" coupler so the water hose doesnt have to bend to make the connection to the trailer.

A ladder of some sort. I take along a collapsable 6' ladder with me. It helps me to put the Popup Gizmos on the bunk ends, and to sweep off the top of our slide out before leaving the campground.

A volt meter that plugs into an outlet inside the trailer. It'll let you know if the power is sufficient coming into the unit. Bad power supply can = dead A/C and others. Put it in a spot that is very noticeable, so you can't miss seeing it.

We just use hand signals and the occasional yell for backing...no walkie talkies needed for us. Stinky slinky for draining the grey and black tanks. White hose - get a good one to begin with and you won't have to replace any time soon. Sounds like you've got about all you'll need except for food and a bottle of wine for the maiden voyage would be nice - keep the cork for a memory thing.

Gotta Haves.
Wheel Chocks, 20-30A adapter, fresh water hose, pressure regulator, Anderson levelers or leveling boards, a small level, water hose and adapter, black tank additive of some sort, brake controller, Weight Distribution Hitch. I also use a block under the jack.

A good sewer hose & extension, fresh water hose and regulator (filter optional), and maybe a 30A extension cord along with adapters.
I use a 2' carpenters level for levelling. Wheel chocks are home made and I use 2X6 pieces for levelling blocks.
Compared to the PU, DW liked the fact that she can keep most of the camping stuff pre-packed in the trailer.
