Roof repair

Our pop up has a bit of a sag near the AC unit which is causing water to pool and leak into the roof. So I am looking for solutions short of replacing the entire roof. flatroofsolutions.com sells a white on black rubber membrane roofing specifically for this application. I would have to build up the area around the AC unit somewhat and then apply the membrane across the entire roof. Does anyone know anything about this company or this technology? Or should we be looking at other options? I can't find anyone around our area (North Carolina) who does roof replacement, so this seems like the next option. Thanks all!

  • Genecop - Roger on the sag. I am going to pull the AC cover off today (if it stops raining) and see how bad that is. It looks to me to be about a 3/4" sag, but I'll know more when I get the cover off. My tentative plan is to use 2 lengths of 1" box tube along the ceiling - running side to side - and attach those to brackets screwed into the side boards. I have seen some similar fixes in other posts for sagging roofs. If I can get the sag fixed, then I will proceed with the roof repair. That is where I am trying to learn more about the EPDM roofing... Thanks for the reply.
  • Dan, the real problem is the Sag..... Water can not be left to pool...A new roof will still give you the pooling because the structure will remain unchanged...building up and patching might be a temporary solution but doesn't address the real issue....The roofing must be removed, then the rot must be repaired, then the new roofing installed...
