That 5.0L doesn't reach max torque until 4500rpms. When towing i would lockout 6th gear so there isn't to much gear hunting. Use your tow/haul and just let the engine Rev when it needs to. Everyone i have talked to say those 5.0L's love to be in the higher rpm range..
