If vented properly, the truck topper should not get any warmer inside than the air temperature outside.colliehauler wrote:
Simply not true. I tried this with my single cab with a topper. I bought a new crew cab after one trip. About lost one Collie because of it.
Just asking, 'cause I don't really know the answer as our dog always rides in the truck along with us BUT ...
If one owns a truck with a slider window that could be interconnected to a slider window on a truck cap, say with a rubber seal or even a piece of Reflectix, could one not place a 12 vdc fan such as a Fan-tastic Vent Endless Breeze Fan in the opening to force colder air from the truck cab into the truck cap area? I've got an Endless Breeze myself and it moves a significant amount of air ... just plug it in to the truck's cigarette lighter for power.
