I've been in a trailer rollover and we landed in the same position as pictured above. The ball broke off the hitch but the safety chains held the rear axle in the air. We unbolted the safety chains, dropping the truck to the ground. Then we chained the upper axle end and pulled the trailer upright. One flat tire was changed, a new ball installed on the hitch, safety chains reattached, and we continued on our way. The travel trailer had minimal damage on the road impacted side (scratched and gouged, door handle broken, and a bit of trim bent).
Our rollover was with a 4 wheel drive F-150 and a single axle trailer. weight probably about 4K lbs. Black ice and driver reaction were the causes.
