RV Insurance

Thanks for all the input. What kind of coverage do I need to make sure that I have?

hello. new here,

just bought my first TT.. flo wanted 310 a year. state farm 112 same numbers...
2006 Ameri-lite 21mb.

my experience is that i got the best deal by having the RV , boat , porsche , included with the policy for the car , pickup and house .
insurance cost is very strange .
they charge me $ 140 for the travel trailer , $625 for the 2006 porsche , $ 219 for my ( purchased new 1991 ) boat , and $ 420 for my (purchased new 2002 duramax )
in my opinion they do not charge enough for the sportscar and charge way too much for the boat , especially if you factor in that the boat gets used 22 days per year.
TT insurance is cheap .
one insurance company on one policy .
ours is kemper but i would be surprised if rates are different from FLO and the others .

I am glad this topic came up. I just got a letter in the mail from American Modern Home Insurance Co. stating that they are no longer going to renew motorhome and travel trailer policies in New Jersey on or after November 1, 2013. So is progressive / state farm rv policies total replacement costs and if so what is the cost of the policy for a year. I just renewed my policy with American modern so I have about a year to shop. My current yearly policy ran $235.00 with total replacement cost for my 2003 citation.

If you qualify, USAA has excellent coverage and rates. On my new Surveyor Sport 220 TT with full coverage and $100 deductible, it's $19/mo.

I have always been told that it is only covered under your auto insurance if something happens while in tow. If it catches fire, tree falls, etc. it is not covered unless you have a seperate policy for it. The insurance is pretty cheap and well worth it.

So far so good with Progressive! I also have a separate policy apart from my truck as my insurance doesn't service California.

I have a seperate RV insurance policy from Flo at Progressive..:)

I have state farm too. Around $200/year. I made a claim when my awning was damaged and everything worked out as it should have.
