Another question for you guys, how would I go about doing a lien check when buying a unit from the USA, or is it even nesasery? In Canada for cars its no problem, just a phone call. Not sure how liens...

Even if you don't need to register or title your new/used truck camper in your state---I'd recommend still asking the seller for the Certificate of Origin at the time of purchase. If you decide to sell it at some point to someone who lives in a state where it does need to be registered/titled, the Certificate of Origin will help things go a lot smoother.
