RV Net Forums & Other Forums

This is, to me, an very interesting topic. I go to the TC forum almost every day that we have on-line access. I also enjoy the Around the Campfire, forum from time to time. I have obtained a bunch of great titles to read, expanded my NASCAR info and experienced the soc ial and family side of the RV world. When I'm having a problem with gear, the several technical forums have always produced good results to solve some problems.

I'm a google addict, if the keyboard fails, I google the solution. I have found that anything I want to explore can be found there. I'm still amazed by the unlimited information available with a few key strokes!

I also look forward to www.truckcampermagazine,com twice weekly publication, that has been a really people oriented format for us.

All in all the whole truck camper deal has been a way to keep on, keeping on, for us. We are both in our seventies, many of our friends are vegetating on the couch, in front of a TV, "If you don't use, you lose it", has been our guiding phrase.

Whazoo (Dave) has been a remarkable, stimulating contributor causing a lot of our TC forum participation, his work has been a magnet to this forum, for us, as have been many other "Laughing Fellow Rovers"!

We ignore the grouches and preachers...............

Here mainly TC forum. Like the cooking forum when I am looking for a new idea (or I am bored), Canada & Alaska to pass extra time.

Mostly I find that the other forums on here are slow.

I look at a number of other sites that have some great information on vehicles and expeditions as well.

I read from the newest tab for a well rounded education

rv.net TC forum
Natcoa forum
sometimes "newest" on Rv.net (it's a bit overwhelming)
Escapees full timing forum
and of course the EagleCapOwners.com forum

We usually hang out under truck campers here but we also frequent LOA

There are many similarities among the RV classifications anyway so reading Newest is where I spend the majority of my time aboard this forum. Due to time constraints, RV.net is about the only forum that I return to on a continual basis.

I stay on the TC forum... seldom ever look anywhere else.

TC's are unique, I seldom run across technology questions that aren't TC specific or that my experieces won't solve, if I need more specific information I know who to pm that has real answers

I avoid campgrounds (smoke bothers my asthma),
I'm not interested in flag poles, or cooking scrambled eggs in in boiling water in a sandwich baggie,
and I don't have pets (not even tropical fish on the computer screen.)

I don't care learn about other types of RV's or listen to people brag about their mobile manors

TC people are what we are.... most are friendly, helpful, interesting, kind, generous, technically tallented...

the "snobs" that might visit tend to move on.... thank goodness. (A few snobs have pm'd me to tell me that my trip reports are incorrectly done or that I should blog. I know that I don't do it correctly... but some people seem to like it anyway.

I enjoy the TC forums trip reports... they suite most of us... I enjoy every one of them... what I like best is the ability to get or give feedback... to read the hints and suggestions from others

Truth is... why would I need anything but the TC forum?

I peek at the TC pictures at "Truck Camping" on Facebook sometimes... blush!

When I log on to RV.net, I click on "Newest" in the upper left corner and read them all. Lots of info on all the forums and you can pick up something new every day.

I read RV.net first, TC thread, then look at the Alaska and boondocking threads. Then take a peak at NATOCA, then move over to the Northern Lite forums and read there.
