I'd love to find out what RIVA did to annoy the OP. Seems like a lot of grump about nothing.
Is the OP affiliated with a truck camper producer? That I could see as an issue but as just an everyday camper, who cares?
While we haven't owned one, we have looked at them for a possible pan-american highway trip at some point. For the right use, they are a good option.
I'm guessing most of the issue is sales are a tiny fraction both in terms of dollars and in terms of units compared to the other major RV types, so they tend to slip off the radar.
PS: Never heard of them being referred to as dirtbaggers.
