I think this is the way to look at it. It's not really the cost of the RV warranty vs the cost of POTENTIAL RV repairs. It's the cost of ALL of the warranties you ever took or were offered vs the cost of ALL potential repairs on all of the items. 
I don't believe I've ever taken an extended warranty. I also believe I'm way ahead. How often do relatively new things break? If it gets past the original manufacturers period it will probably be good for many years. Or it will have been repaired already during that period if you buy late model used.
