Safety warning on Keystone Springdale Campers

I was looking at pics of a new 260LE and it had corded miniblinds in the kids bunk areas.

Big NO NO, as most RV makers already know including Jayco. Cords wrap around kids necks and can strangle them.

Curtains in kids areas, no loose cord blinds in other areas, and no material to catch fire in the stove/sink area. My Jayco has this and follows the saftey standards that are common sense. Very surprised to see Keystone has such a dangerous arrangement.

That's surprising since those types of cords have been phased out for a while now.

    Phased out from just campers?
  • My camper uses only one of those metal blinds above the kitchen sink where kids can't get to. The metal was needed so that no material to burn is around the stove. That was in 2012.

Otherwise, they have those material blinds that has the end of the string screwed to the wall and where the blinds are continuous.

The bunks use curtains like the privacy curtains used for the bunk bedroom and front bedroom.

Here's the Keystone Springdale pics on a dealer's site.
