Saw my first 2020 GMC HD camping this weekend

Never did get to talk to the owner of the truck. I walked by a couple times to try to catch somebody. Oh well.

We just got a "new" 2012 Sierra 2500HD. Last 2 trucks have been Ford. Never thought I'd like a Sierra, looks or otherwise but I do. I don't like what they've done with the 2020 tho. If I had the cash in my pockets for a new truck, I think I'd pass on the new ones.

Besides wanting to out-feature the competition, they always seem to be trying to make trucks look meaner, tougher and more appealing to the testosterone crowd. Yes, it looks fugly. The mirrors are super fugly.

The only thing that could be fuglier is a 2020 Silverado.

I agree as well the hood scoop should be w/ D-max only

Wheel well lights, well don't see them on semis, but I will say if they somehow have them blink w/ turn signals, then maybe. Otherwise, no.

How close did you get to it, did it have a manufacturer plate? I cannot remember seeing the marker lights on the wheel moldings. Could be an export vehicle.

Never mind. Looked at them on the GM website. They do have them. I haven’t really looked at them without their camo.

I did not know that the gasser gets the hood scoop. I agree that should be left to the Duramax where it is functional. I assume it adds some complication to the manufacturing process to have two separate hoods for the HD's. However if your paying the extra 10K or whatever the cost will be in 2020 for a diesel, I like the idea of having hood being a little unique. Having the induction hood that is not functional on the gasser, is gimmicky/poser like.

Thats too bad. Should have left it off the gasser if thats the case.

I've been a GM guy my whole life, but I think the Fords are the best looking trucks, by far, right now.

Until they start making tires square or octagonal, I’ll take my wheel wells round, please.
