Scan gauge II & other gauges

I have had an edge insight CTS for the truck for about 6 months now. I am shocked how off the stock oil pressure and coolant temp gauges are off compared to those read on the monitor through the ECM.
With a diesel it shows when trucks Exhaust filter cleans out. Watch those EGTS climp up to 1250 during the process.

Thanks. I'll investigate this a little further. I don't have a Droid phone. Don't have a "smart" phone of any kind, but I could spring for a "burner" Android phone.

I am very pleased with my old Droid phone and Torque App. I got the phone from a friend who already replaced it, bought a Bluetooth OBDII dongle for $15 on Amazon, and $5 for the Torque Pro App. Highly customizable what information you desire and how to view it. The only negative thing I have is it is not automatically powered up/connected when you start the car like Scanguage could be for example. If you already have an Android phone, great! If not, then a pre-paid (that you never use for phone service) for $60 works too.

OP, sorry, didn't notice your tranny temp interest. As mentioned, .insight does monitor that. I usually keep coolant, oil temp, tranny temp, battery voltage, and ficm voltage on my screen. I change or add other values as appropriate or necessary.

I have a edge insight you can set it to read various items one of which is the transmission temp. No problems over 3years very easy to use. Bob

Very happy with mine also. It does show the tranny temp and I added a backup camera which is very clear and very useful.

I've read about the ones listed so far. Unfortunately, I haven't seen what I looking for. I do not want any of them if they do not supply transmission temperature.

Bottom line, if I can't be assured the tranny temp for my 2005 F150 w/ 5.4L, I do not need to spend the money.

Torque app with Bluetooth dongle...no cords...all the same functionality...100% custom gauge GUI options and configurations. $20 total cost. Tough to beat!
