Schwintek motor controller location

Hello, I have a failed schwintek slide motor on my 2014 Solaire TT. I have figured out how to replace it though the slide is closed. I need to unplug the controller though can't locate it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try an rv dealer or an independent rv repair facility. I have found most will guide you the right way in a pinch.

  • For sure it could be just about anywhere they happened to find a spot for it. Mine is under the bed in the compartment where the water heater and water pump is.
  • Thanks for the responses. I am in a bad way at this point as my slide is in and I cant get to a couple panels that would be accessible when open. I will check behind all accessible panels and hope. I have tried calling Solaire service directly and keep leaving voicemails with a "Mike" though never get a call back.

As a point of reference, our's is behind the panel under the bathroom sink.
  • Don't know where yours might be, but our controller for our wardrobe slide is in the left side closet in the front bedroom. There is a removable panel hiding it. Another place to look is in the area of your info center. Possible panel covering the back of the panel area if in a cabinet or something.

Problem with where ours is located, if the slide is stuck inside, it is "almost" impossible to open the closet door and access the panel screws!!! Definitely will be loosing some skin on my arms getting in there!!!

Keep looking in strange places, and you should find it!!
  • On my Forest River front kitchen Vibe it is behind the silverware drawers. The drawers can be pulled out by releasing a latch on each slide. Even so, it was laying loose on the floor near the outside shower and impossible to read the codes and difficult to reach. I did access it by removing the shower from the outside. Review the data on the Lippert Components website as there is a lot of info there re: diagnostics and how to move the slide with videos. I'm not sure it tells you how to open the slide to access the motors which is done from the outside; maybe remove a top trim piece.

Since you have not yet found the controller, that means you have not gone thru the step by step procedure to troubleshoot. It could well be you do not have a failed motor.
