I replaced 2 jacks on my previous trailer, and 1 jack on the trailer before that, all were BAL scissor jacks. I added 2 more on my previous trailer, so had a total of 6 jacks.
Apart from appearance, no reason why you cannot attach any kind of jack that works for your needs.
I have in the past used a mix of the BAL installed scissor jacks with these. One winter I had 10 jacks under the trailer, plus the tongue.
No right or wrong, use what you're most comfortable with.
