Our local RV dealer/supplier, who has been in business for decades, uses and recommends "Nuflex 313 glass and vinyl fast set silicone" for windows. I had a gusher coming in one of my windows, so I removed the window, cleaned everything thoroughly and then placed putty tape under the window flange, when I reinstalled it. I followed that with the Nuflex and got a great, professional looking result. I removed the bead around all the other windows in the camper and put a bead of the Nuflex on all of them. I am very happy with the result.
The dealer recommended this stuff for SIDES of RVs. FWIW, my camper has aluminum siding.
P.S. I agree with TrevorL about using painter's tape to get a nice sharp edge on your caulking.
