Great truck. I loved my Tundra and miss it dearly, but I just needed more payload. It was comfortable, powerful, stout and dependable when I owned it. It was fun to drive and towed my 6500 lbs trailer with ease.
Fuel mileage was on the lower side (averaged about 16, towing was around 9 or 10 with my smaller trailer, around 7-8 with my bigger trailer).
Trans always felt tight and smooth. Brakes always felt sufficient. The 5.7 just kept creating power. I really think they could offer than engine and trans in a 3/4 ton and do just fine. I know that I would have bought one in a heartbeat.
