My 2KW Honda Generator lives secured in the tail gate corner of my truck bed. My truck bed has the lockable FOLD-A-COVER folding HARD PANELs which completely hides my generator when not in use.
My generator goes where I go. I don't think I would like the idea of leaving my generator unattended at a camp ground.
The thieves with their battery powered cutoff tools can steal almost anything within a matter of seconds these days.
I think "OUT-OF-SIGHT OUT-OF-MIND" is best approach...
