if i get a used one, do the all have the standard CAT 4 towing hitch (is that the word?) ? is that something that can be installed out of the factory on a used van,

also a newbie question, the 3500 6L you mentioned, is that a diesel engine?
Mine did not come with a hitch but I was able to get the dealer to throw it in. It is a v4 rated Curt. Easy bolt on. A v5 is even available. Wiring is a little more difficult but I got that included also. Make sure you specify you need a 7 wire RV setup with provision for brake controller. I just transferred my Prodigy P3 from my truck to the van. The 6.0L is a gasoline engine. The diesel is a 6.6L but are pretty rare in the passenger vans. You almost have to order one. Keep in mind that the diesel in the van is derated from the truck version.
The payload is around 3500 lbs so tongue weight won't be an issue.
