We have some friends that owned a Lance 1985 and really liked it except for a few issues. They really liked the large rear bath as he is 6'-3" and fit. The bed was too short for him so they tried to extend it from the head. Sleeping was better but getting in and out of the door was tough as the bed blocked half the opening.
They ended up selling the trailer after a month long trip as they didn't have a comfortable place to sit and watch tv. Replacing the dinette with a couch sounds like a good idea but it slides over the wheels and there is a high step-up.
He towed it with a Nissan Frontier and Equalizer hitch and was very happy with the tow performance. He sold it himself and had no problem finding a buyer as Lances have a good reputation.
Happy shopping.
