Somehow I get the feeling that the perfect "couples trailer" has yet to be conceived.
I would think it should be:
- Queen Bed - full sized
- Love Seat Sofa
- Dry Bathroom
- no bunks, no fold out dinette, etc - don't want anyone else traveling with us
- approx. 20-21' total length
- 3500 lbs or less when optioned with typical things like AC
- dual axle
- Power Awning, Power Jack
- Fiberglass and Aluminum construction - or at least very well sealed if wood frame
- Designed to be parked outside full time with little deteriation
- Bicycle Rack
- of course Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave
- Price approx $15K - not going to live in it, just vacation a few times a year.
As you know, Carl, this was my first year.
I couldn't BELIEVE how many brands of RVs were out there. And then the numerous models, to boot.
Very hard to navigate because you also have to consider build quality....and then a brand might have different build qualities between models!
I know you're patient, Carl...and shrewd....you'll figure it out. But it might just take awhile.
Might be a good time to look used.....people usually try to dump before the off-season...you might catch a good deal like you did with the Lexus. :)
