This afternoon I went to an RV dealer that had a Coachmen 192RBS and an R-Pod 180.
The 192RBS Dry Weight = 3,798 lbs and priced at $17,924
The R-Pod 180 Dry Weight = 2,864 and priced at $16,529
Both had power tongue jacks, the R-Pod had a manual Awning.
The owner of the RV dealership felt sure that my LX470 could pull the 192RBS, but recommended against anything bigger.
Both trailers seem to be similar quality but the Coachmen sidewalls use Azdel rather than Lauan wood - a positive.
The 192RBS is definitely more spacious and has tandem axles.
Shower: I'll have to squat a little in the R-Pod, not so in the 192RBS.
192RBS has a bigger bed and runs North-South.
192RBS has a Jack Knife Sofa in lieu of the dinette in the R-Pod.
I do like the spare tire being located under the tongue, leaving the back
for a bike rack.
The R-Pod should be easier to tow - 7'wide vs 8', lighter, and lower.
Hitch weight 392 lbs vs 290 lbs on the R-Pod.
Length 22'6" vs 20'0" for the R-Pod.
Height 10'3" vs 9'7".
Fresh/Gray/Black tanks same size: 36,30,30 gal.
CCC is 2048 lbs vs 1172 lbs but we are not going to carry a lot of **** anyway.
For just $1,400 more, the 192RBS does look a lot more appealing.
